THIRD UPDATE(H2 WIP) Sentinel Wars

Well, here's a brief shot of what my newest Halo 2 mod will be. I got the idea when I played Halo 2 one day, and now I really can't wait to finish it. XD

Basically, what this mod is is the BSP conversion of the Library that you see very briefly at the end of one of the Arbiter's levels. (Ya, the one where the arbiter kick's Johnson's ass!) You play as a sentinel, and you can use a limit of weaopns put on the map. And, of course te sentinel beam is your starting weapon.

What has been done:

*Fully functional sentinel
*Fixed weapons to better suit the sentinel
*Color changing for the sentinel
*BSP conversion
*remodel human weapons to be used by sentinal
*New weapons to be used.

What needs to be done:

*Fix a problem with the sentinel's collision model
*Infinite Third Person
*ragdoll flood scenery

P.S. If anyone can help with these errors, please tell me. It'd make my life much easier!

That looks pretty cool. It'd be sick if you could shoot of pieces of the sentinental.

To make them spawn with all the parts go to the BIPD tag and make their default permutation "minor". (Without the quotation marks.)

I believe you can shoot off peices of the sentinal.

Edit: Yes, you can infact shoot off pieces of your enemies.

Looks awesome, this is something I'd play.

EDIT: Just a thought, I think it would look better (IMO) if you made it to where you can't see your weapon, just the HUD.

Having a constant 3rd person view like in the first picture would be favourable. Then you could be aware of your bodily damage.

Actually, scratch my idea. The constant 3rd person view would be much better. :)

But ya, I have been working on making the weapons invisible. I realized the handless weps sucked when I grabbed a pistol. =\

I would not point you in the direction of trak...As I believe it is in the jmad, as I am able to allow or dissallow the MC or elite from getting in vehicles through editing the jmad...

As for enabling the sentinal bipd to be able to get in a vehicle...I really don't know unless you were to copy the chunk from a different bipd, paste it in the sentinals jmad and give it just the idle animation...But even then, I'm not sure if entity's chunk cloner goes far enough to do that as I have never tried.

something i've wanted to see done. this is pretty cool 8) just fix the source of the beam, it shouldn't come out of the "eye".

Every projectile comes out of the "Eye", It to do with Aiming, Or something else.
I saw this for Halo PC and I thought it would be awesome on H2.

I already did that. The only problem with making the beam come out from the gun, is that now the rifles look horrible when mounted. Anyone know if its possible to make the weapon invisible when you wield it, but not when its on the ground?

Even if not, I have a few other ideas to make it work.

instead of a sienteinal beam as a weap i think u should make a fp modle for it it would look alot cooler but any ways great idea although u should make it on a big map and makie ai ones, and like fight them iin the sky that would be so sick...or even better, make the fp modle to 3p if possible cuz i think that its a cool shot
