Very nice. It doesn't even look too high poly. What's the count on it so far?

Is this the tank from G.R.A.W.?

Pretty cool.

I don't think it's from GRAW, then again, I've never played GRAW. The M1A2 Abrams is the US' current high-tech main battle tank. I still have yet to finish the turret. I'll get the poly count in a sec. I am trying to make it relatively low poly, for use in Halo or Halo CE. I haven't triangulated it yet, and I forgot how to do that in Wings. I saw it in a menu once.

It currently has 932 faces, (I'm guessing that's polies) and if someone could inform me as to how to fuse objects so that no unnecessary polygons (ones that don't show on the outside no matter what angle) remain. Essentially, I would like it to be a hollow shell when I'm finished, except for inside parts that would be visible when the hatch is open. I'd also need some help on how to rig it to work with the scorpion's animations.

I'm pretty sure it is, I'll have to check later.

Anyone got the location of a good wings rigging tutorial, if it's even possible?

Add some more details, like on the wheels. Nothing insane, just some more.

Looks great so far though. I couldn't work Wings out to save my life.

This tank is in GRAW, but that doesn't

It makes really big explosions, it matters none where it's from.

If I can get it ingame, I won't be having it fire explosives. I'm an APFSDS fan. Google it.

I risk adding unnecessary polygons :/
What's the poly budget for vehicles?

EDIT: How's this?
Image

EDIT:
Turret is mostly finished.
Cannon and coaxial gun are finished.
Model is 5948 polies when triangulated. I assume that's getting to be a bit much :/

Image

EDIT: Decreased wheel detail a bit, to reduce the poly count by about 1100 polies. The gap in between the two halves of each wheel will now be textured on, instead.

You've got 10-15,000 to play with IIRC, have fun.

Looking good.

What if I plan on making a map with a bunch of them? :/

Anyways, here's a render I did with Blender, since Wings' rendering SUCKS.

EDIT: Latest pic for you:

EDIT 2: I finally realized that it was far too wide. I touched it up a bit. Here are the results:

I knew there was something wrong with it.
