WIP: Halo Legendary mod

This is another bunch of pictures and a video for a Halo PC mod that I am working on, named "Halo: Legendary". It's a mod for all the campaign maps, and the main features are shinier shaders, faster and smarter ai and more explosive and chaotic combat.

In this mod, I'm trying to not make this into a generic Halo PC mod, with exception errors, incompleteable objectives and enemies that sometimes co-operate with you. Instead, I'm trying to make it feel more like an updated version of Halo rather than a total conversion. Any part of the modification that was not completely working or was glitchy, was removed. It's still Halo, it still looks like Halo even with the new shaders, but you will notice some differences even if you haven't played Halo 1 in a long time.

The mod is actually almost finished, I was working on this at sometime around June, spending about an hour or two per week (I don't spend a lot of my time on Halo modding). I haven't ppfed anything yet, because I want some input from other users and I will play through the campaign a few times to see if everything is working properly.

And there are NO meta swaps, anything that was swapped was done through the scenario.

Here is a video:

and here are some pictures:
(and no, I didn't find a way to have anti aliasing in Halo, I took the images in high res and resized them to low res)

I always wanted a mod like this. You should make a new game difficulty too, an Authentic game difficulty.

Edit-I cant wait to play this!

Very nice. I've been following your updates since the beginning, and I've been looking forward to this one for a long time. Good job.

The visor and most of the shaders are different per map, so they look like they are reflecting the environment.

And yes, I could use help, any idea on how to make the flamethrower useful in the Library?
Also, is it possible to modify AI spawn locations, and is it possible to change where they move to?

Oh, and more pics in this post, hosted here because imageshack is being weird. The flood combatants and carriers are covered in blood, because infection shouldn't be a clean process. The blood is also in the multipurpose, and has specular maps so the blood looks like it isn't dry yet.

I also apologize for taking so long, not only do I spend little time modding, I also screw up maps a lot. And I'm lazy so sometimes I don't mod because I think it's too much work :P

omg this is one of the best improvements i've hav seen to halo. the blood on the human flood for looks real and i see u put a bit of blue blood for the grunts on the carrier but jackals also turn into carriers so there should be some purplish blue in there too, i no that elites also hav purple blood but i assume both flood forms hav red blood. i like the assualt rifle's shaders, they dont look real but they're sure as hell cool. the explosion on the pelican looks the same as it is in unmodded halo.

If you betray the marines, do the covenant fight with you?

I don't think I will do that, that would be kind of weird, but it could work for the guilty spark mission.

I just finished making some kamikaze marines, they are marines that have become infected by the flood but haven't become a flood combatant yet, they run up to you with a live grenade in their hand and detonate it.

here is the url for the kamikaze marine movie:

Actually that would be very weird. Ex:Betraying the marines in the first part of The Silent Cartographer, the marines would be like, fuck that, that bastard aint gettin no $650,000 Warthog.

About the kamikazi marines, you should put blood on him like you did with the flood combat and carrier forms.

And about ai, you should make more marine spawns so there will be bigger battles, like 9 marines and 10 in the other pelican in The Silent Cartographer mission.

the flood skins are awesome, but is it just me, or is there no detail map on the flood in that pic?

I could put more AIs in, but it would be too easy if I put more marines but same amount of elites. I guess I could put some banshees at the landing zone to even out the sides, but the biggest problem with putting AI in the pelicans is that they won't clear the beach, instead they'll just stand near the pelican and shoot.

Thanks for the comments on the flood skins, I haven't shown much of the flood elite because I just realized I made it have grunt blood by accident. And I don't believe there are supposed to be detail maps on flood, are there?
