Ok I have been messing around with Milkshape 3D and only been on it a few days. I have been learning how to create models from reference pictures. Well Here is a nice helicpoter model I did in about 6 hours. I do however need help with the skins and shaders. I want to UV map it so I can get it to look really great but I have no idea how to do it. Lemme know what you guys think and if someone can help me with the shaders and stuff to get it to look really nice. Ok enough of my blabbing here are the pictures:
or create a mach for it? i guess you could use the warthog tires animations for the rotors....and you mgiht wanna scale down that chopter just a wee bit now! my jaw literally dropped when i saw those pictures! grade A modeling me lad!
Well lol actually I tried the Zanzi wheel and it worked but for some reason when I got too close it froze. . I mean I tranfered the tag over and everthing, remodeled the wheel to match the rotors of the helicpoter perfectly and set the speed to like 500 and I was really excited to see it working but I got to close and it froze. Anyways if someone knows how to UV, I am working on an aircombat mod with flying helicopters and planes but I want them to be skinned and shaded correctly.(i.e. UV mapping) Lemme know and I will give FULL credit whoever can help me getting the chopper looking right!!
Ok so I did a little tweaking to the model but I think the first one is better although this one has spinning rotors which you cant see very well because if I get too close for pictures, it freezes the game. So here they are:
Damn.. That is good. Even if you can't get the blades to spin, it still looks like a helicopter. If it doesn't work well, you could use it as a good looking piece of scenery..

...no
No you did not.
You did not make that in Milkshape, much less after only being on it for a few days. Period.
Perhaps he meant it took him 6 hours to re-size it to fit Halo .
