Short tutorial on creating custom Reticules/HUD Elements:
It's actually very easy, Halo 2 will accept the alpha channel of a texture as a HUD bitmap(Must be DXT2/3 or DXT4/5), but all other channels must be clear. So what I did, was duplicate the banshee's contrail, extract the image, modify the alpha channel and re-injected it. Next you have to swap the Tag ID refrence of the reticule to that of the new bitmap. And finally, set the Object Bitmap Index to 0.(Otherwise it'll refrence a bitmap that doesn't exist).
Simple
