This is for Custom Edition using Xavier's mod as the template. Almost all these changes were entered using Guerilla. Mind-numbingly boring but worth it for the outcome.

I only wished I could've paid this tribute to him sooner.

The plan is to re-do all the Halo Multiplayer maps first since they're the easiest and maybe if my brain hasn't melted from al the text-editing I might try my hand at the SP levels. Of course time is the main restricting factor and I have precious little to spare

because you are leaving this planet tonight........ :?: :? well i can't wait to play it, i think sp levels are cooler for stuff like this though, maybe after you haev finished a few you could talk to llama_juice (i think thats his name) about converting to xbox...

problem with me doing that one... is that it would just be a lot of work compaired to just converting it to xbox like I usually do... considering THAT pack is a PPF for bitmaps.map

Are you internalizing all your bitmaps? because the xbox has all its bitmaps internalized and it would be rather annoyying to have to do it manually :P

That one is the template and it's for the PC version...

... and this one is for Custom Edition so all the cel-shaded bitmaps are internal (i guess because all the original maps don't look any different).

I have to finish referencing the cel-shading for the weapons and then I'll be posting it to Halomaps and my own site space when it's ready. The version in the pictures is a biped-heavy one for a machinima series I almost abandoned but I'm working on a clear multiplayer one too.

You do realise the irony of that statement? This IS the last one. Difference is this one is running on a 6800GT with a d3d9 active camo fix. Plus Halo Custom Edition has nicer shaders so while it looks better it's the same as the original.

I liked Xavier's mod so much that when I saw someone had converted the a30_b map with Cel-shading and having just learned how bitmaps work in Halo CE mapbuilding I realised I could do that for myself but with such a positive-respective response how can I not release them all? I realise it's two years later than I'd liked to have paid tribute to him but better late than never.

nice. however, i must say this. the mod you are referring to as xaviers is also mine.
Xavier did the characters, vehicles, and the weapons, while i did all the bitmaps for the levels (walls, floors, ground, sand, trees, water, etc)

Apologies. This is the only place I have referred to it as solely Xavier's mod. A slight slip, nothing more. So noted for future reference and the eventual readme for Halomaps.

It's progressing really well. I've almost got a finsihed version of Blood Gulch ready. Just some final testing/tweaking and it should be go for release.

One of the comments on GearboxSoftware forums was..
