HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Well, I've been working on a new template for my site, HaloKit, and this is what I've come up with so far. Tell me what you think.

It is also my first real template I've made, so take it easy on me.



Sorry I can't get a fully working version up yet because the news code still has to be created and modified for the site.

Very cool. I would show more of the MC though, he seems a little hidden.

Simple yet neat. That's the way I like it .

EDIT: Nice title in your banner, however, I wasn't able to read it when I first looked at it. I think that title is very creative but you should edit it just a bit so that it's easier to read. And yeah, show a bit more of that MC. I'll be needing to hire you to make some skins for me lol.

Yeah, same thing with the title. I thought it said "HaloCE.com" until I read the actual text.

All right, I'll change it. I really like how it looks so I'll just try to figure out a way to make it look the same, but more legible.

it's 'ok', but it lacks a lot of detail and "unmf". I'm learning to do this as a side job, so take it from me: It's way too plain, spice it up a tad. Make some renders, spread stuff out, add some graphics. It doesn't look comfortable, and comfort along with first impression can decide who joins your site, and who leaves thinking it's just another half decent mod site.

More rounded buttons, like the ones found in here for things like new post, are definetly more comfortable, and make some people want to join at a subconcsious level.

Text is tooooo big, for one. Seems to cluttered. Not alot of space. Make the render a bit clearer and hidden. Other then that I like the color. You got the layout feel from the IPB Skin Bohegeha.
