Well here is the mod i have been working on for a little bit
It is just skinned for now
I want your guys opinions on the skin
I plan to do much more but I need suggestions!!!!

Wow... I love these types of skins. Really changes the feel of the map. This kind makes the map a lot less gloomy.

at first i didnt recignise what map that was real good.

yeah...this skin is so good...you know why? because the bitmaps used are created by the great greennc...yet...hockey freak claims he's "spent along time on this" spent along time doing what exactly? extracting the bitmaps from greennc's maps and then injecting them into your own?

At least next time say that you took them without permission from Greennc...

you know, i really wish there was a hall of shame to post the names of people who claim others' works as their own.

I just find it wierd that they play us for fools especially when greennc has recently used those textures again in another set of skins...eg biohazard, the valley, and his 2 lockout skins...

Looks a lot like shade45's swamp level.

I should like to add to what ScottyGEE said. The texture used on the cliffsides in this skin are straight from a skin I did a while back that called The Meadow (pics here: http://files.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=44339). Though the textures in burial mounds are low res (128x128 as opposed to Coag's 512x512 I believe), I'm 100% positive they're my bitmaps.

HockeyFreak, I spend a lot of time creating my seamless textures in photoshop, and you came in and just took it, claiming the work as your own (same with what you took of Greennc's). Do you find it hard to credit the right people? (or anyone, for that matter). Good idea, good work, but bad approach.

I was just about to mention that those cliffs looked suspiciously like the beautfiul skin called "The Meadow" sitting in my mainmenu.

Well the proof that he did rip skins from others work and that he did not credit them is as far as I can see is true.

He has a small amount of time to prove he made them or add credits as needed.
If not he will be punished appropriately.

Note: Any other Mod/JA/Admin may just slap a punishment on now at any time, but I'll give some time.

BTW, chad and green are two of the best skinners I've ever seen.

Well sorry i gotta have my say too the wood type texture is definatly greencs he uses them in most of his skins but im not sure on the cliff texture, but didnt hocky do this a while back claimed astroid belt as his own when it was erbs ???

Ah, I'll show you better proof, 5C077.

Look at the reddish circles... that identifies a very clear pattern with that green spot on the cliffside. The Blue circle identifies a clear pattern with an orange area on the cliffside.

By the way, chad, I just want to say that The Meadow is an absolutely stunning skin. You should try saving the broken (ones that turn black) DDS files as bitmaps, closing the DDS files, open the bitmaps, and save as DDS files with the generate mipmap dealy.

Yeah, I actually never finished The Meadow. I'm working on a couple other things at the moment, and as soon as I'm done, I'll get back with The Meadow. It was my first skin, and I know quite a bit more now than I did at the time. I'll be able to finally make it the way I wanted it.

has anyone tried converting halo 1 bitmaps to halo 2 format?

lets try to resking coag to be bg, put in old halo 1 weapons, but it would be sick...

When I downloaded it originally I used the Serenity (small patch, easy patcher, auto main-menu addition = win) and it has the problems with the rocks. Have you updated it since then (maybe 2 or 3 months ago)?

Ooooo so what I used his skins I dont denie it
I wanted to give the map a cooler look
He didnt skin this map yet so....
Also I have been working on it for a period of time I just didnt show u guys what i also did to it this is just a skin

Better idea: credit people who spend their time making excellent DDS files and ask their permission.
