Well we're almost ready for the release of this map. weapon animations are being finished up by L33T. and scooby and mattae are just working on finishing the skins.
we have 2 new bipeds, rec0 has agreed to attempt to script them so that only terrorists will spawn at one side and us at the other. and l33t has made us a very nice hud which positioning is still needed but bitmaps are done. there is a video showing off some ground combat on the last page. enjoy

This map takes place in a small city somewhere near Fallujah, Iraq. It's crawling with insurgents. Marines were called in to occupy a few buildings on the outskirts of the city in an attempt to rid the city of all enemy forces. there are lots of buildings to hide in or behind. as well as airstrikes you can call in and RPGs. There is a wide assortment of weapons and vehicles
Weapons include:
M4A1
M4/M203 GL
M4 Scoped
M8
Arctic Warfare Magnum
Glock-19
Ak-47
IMI Galil
IMI Uzi
Galil Sniper
Binoculars (used to call an airstrike)
RPG
Vehicles
Technical (pickup truck with mg on back)
Humvee
UH-60 Black Hawk
M1A2 Abrams Tank
M312 portable machine gun (you will not be able to fire while carrying it and it will slow your speed by 35%. once dropped it can not be picked up again)

That XM8 is incredibly sexy, nice job, can't wait to see this done.

cool concept, the d40_a sky would probably be the best sky to use though...for a desert map. I like the layout though, it'll be a fun map to play.
I don't know if I can skin weapons that well, I've only done work with BSPs and custom scenery so I don't think I would be too much help. Good luck.

I did notice a small error, shouldn't be to hard to fix. Great job btw.

Maybe you could include the drum-magazine XM-8, with like 50 bullets
the XM-8 does look sexy, the map though, Maybe a closer pic of it?

I can help model/skin weapons if you want. Although I've only done a few models, but I'll help if you need.

i got some suggestions
1. put an M4A1 in there, those are fun - especially with teh grenade launcher
2. M16's
3. make it a !BIG! and confusing urban environment city
4. instead of n00bish rocket launchers, change it to the slow firing RPG
5. flash bang nades
6. spray paint

7. M9 baretta pistol
8. recoil on all weapons
9. AK47's
these are all just suggestions, you dont have to do them if you dont want to

1. already in with a functioning secondary tirgger the m203 grenade launcher
2. M16 is old and boring so it wont be in
4. rpg is in there but it shoots faster then the rocket but does less damage
5. flash bang nades...when ever pacifica or someone can help me out with that one
6. spray paint.......
9. AK47's...done
and the xm25 grenade launcher is almost done a few more errors to fix, pic up top

Thats nice! But, only one thing. Make those holes larger. Those are just huge potholes. But if you want them like that, make them bunker holes. Those are just squares, just deep enough that you can crouch to not be shoot-able. And they should have a bit of wood, just like around most of the edges, sort of like a crate to keep the bunker hole in shape.

(isn't it annoying when nobody cares about what you have already, and just tells you what they want in it. That XM8 is 1337)

it's almost done few edges need adjusting but for the most part the model is done

i love how difficult it is for people to spell veegie when its written right in front of them
and mabye he wanted to see the pic i used cause theres also the xm 26 LSS attachment for the M4 or any other gun with a RIS

weapons = shiny. looks really good so far. i love how everyone points out the little tiny flaws and i'm just like "....good job!"
so yeah.....GOOD JOB!
