Not really sure what to call the topic, but these are made about the same way those "Battle Scenes" were made. Feel free to edit them for yourselves and add captions however you like, just give credit. Also, I accidentally saved #2 as a .jpg in paint and erased backups, so it is noticeably lower quality than the others.
I'm having a lot of fun making these, so if you have a suggestion, POST IT HERE!
Beacuse the image capture device does not capture AA, just raw data. It is very sharp looking. Which means you have harsh jaggies. Do a gaussian blur of .25.

this sucks because I cant make them... or at least I don't know how. I realize you need a special program for xbox/pc and I got it on me xbox and pc but It never works with Halo 2... only other games.
I'm not sure how in-depth we're aloud to talk about it, but, here's a few tips.
If you have a mod chip, flash a debug BIOS onto a part of it, and make it start with that BIOS instead of doing "Xbox Image Grabber" from Apps menu. Make sure you also use a BIOS correct for your xbox version.
If you use Xecuter 3 BIOS, turn on the option for Debug BIOS mode instead of doing "Xbox Image Grabber" from Apps menu.
Use EvolutionX dashboard. I don't know why, but Halo2 doesn't act properly if I start it from UnleashX and a debug BIOS.
Make sure in EvolutionX's settings, TSR is set to disabled. You'll have to reboot to have the changes apply.
If Halo2 still does not work, or if you can get in the menu but not load any maps, then clear your cache, start Halo2 without a debug BIOS, load and start the level you want to use debug on, then end it, reboot with debug on, and try Halo2 on that level.

What do you mean? About why #2 is low quality? That's because for some reason microsoft paint (which I edited these in) when it saves as .jpg, it turns on like 60% quality compression or something gay like that.
But what tool do I use for a gaussian blur? Photoshop? I have a 30 day demo for that. Does the xbox apply that effect right before showing on screen?
I never said it was low quality, this is pointless unless you can grasp the concept of AA. You can use GIMP for bluring also.

AA is Anti-Aliasing which is a technique when drawing pixels to create smoothness among horizontal lines and curves that would usually be jaggedy due to pixels being rectangular. Video games use this for a more realistic look, and to not look like crap when smoothing out these lines and curves be rendering in-between pixels for a tiny blur affect to smooth them out.
