I'm looking for help again. I rigged my model wrong. When I rotate the hands or the head sometimes the wrist or neck will stretch (if its the hands wrists; head, neck) or twist. What did I do wrong?

Physique.
Select verts that should not deform, and check the "Rigid" box in the physique parameters, I think. I haven't used Physique in a long time, but I'm pretty sure that's what you have to do...

That's where the zipper is on the bump map... I don't know how or where, but something happened (I didn't notice it 'til later) with his hips, and they got stretched/moved sort of out of place... still not sure what exactly happened.

Wow, those reflections look pretty Realistic, considering the material used on the MC's Armour.
I actually think the visor looks Cool, but not Master Chief-Like.

Damn, I actually really like the way his armor looks there, especailly since it's coming from the H2 Camo bump... if you used that H3 map, it'd look even nastier. The visor needs work (like ya said...altho I do think it looks cool too lol...just not in a 'treditional MC way') but other then that, it's just really minor little stuff... I went into my MC bitmap and I inverted the two little circles on those extrusions by his ears, so they'd be white and they'd stand out like they do in the H3 pictures that have been put out, I think it looks much better. And if you could give his rubber the rubber detail map... that'd be haaaaaaawt.

Likeee... here...

That's just a still I took out of my last animation I made for a montage trailer I put together for a dude at HoC... it's not any kind of 'real render' or whatever... so it's not up for critique (I know it sucks lol)... but yeaaaahhh... those are the 'extrusions' I'm talking about

I like it still, but maybe darken the rubber color so it looks more seperated... it kind of all looks like the same material right now (sort of)

Alright Ephrum, let's straighten a couple of things out here. First off, he isn't using the camo bump; he's using a custom normal map that I made, and posted for use on Yayap (I took it down, so no one ask for it). 2nd off, I also made the so-called "nasty" Halo 3 normal map that you are referring to, and I'd like to ask you why you think it's so bad. But first, look at this render I made using it and make your judgements then.

Shit I am sorry that I didn't give credit Jean. I am embarrassed now...

Yes, the bump on my MC is Jean's bump...edited a tad to my liking. Still it was all his work. Sorry.

I meant 'nasty' as in 'sweet' or 'good' or 'sick' lol... sorry for the confusion. I didn't know that you made those normal maps, I use those too, the only thing I didn't like about the H3 one was the scratch on his chest (which I took and edited out). but they're siiick maps...sooo clean. I also liked the textures of his spartan, I really like how the armor looks (I wish I could some-how figure out how to make my armor look like that, nothing I seem to do ever ends up working right).

But my bad, I was just trying to give an actual critique here instead of writing 2 line posts that don't explain anything... myyy bad. Sorry for the confusion with my bad English lingo lol.

how do I apply detail maps? and by detail maps, do you mean dirt maps? I've tried searching for detail maps but have yet to come up with something productive
