The specualr just throws the mc off. The rubber looks way to yellow. Why is it even yellow. The chest plate needs more 3d depth into. It just looks flat with lines going through it. Try using VDM, or making the model high poly then adding as displacment map. Also the worthog tire bump needs so improvment

Sorry, but VDM trashes the polies, look at your shoulders and the seams on the side of the feet. Oh wait, thats where the HUGE FUCKING GAP is because you didn't model your own, gj ben. How can you even critique? All you have ever done is shown off someone else's material. "OMGZ NEW RENDAZ" And its jeans material, all you did was pose them, WRONGLY. You're in NO position to be ATTEMPTING to critique, NO ONE here agree's with you, AT ALL. Look at a bungie cutscene and look at trep's. You find almost flawless transition. How about you just leave all of treps topics, and mine. Including the Render Gallery, because they're certainly no place for you to spread your obnoxious insight.benman08 wrote:The specualr just throws the mc off. The rubber looks way to yellow. EDIT: I happened to find Jeans MC, who ben posted. Keep in mind it was originally called MyMC.jpg, wtf ben? Anyways, here we see the awesomeness that Ben is trying to "convert" trepdimeflou too, saying that this is far superior.

The hand is just plain slaughtered. The rubber between the legs of the MC is now mini mountains, guess what ben? If that were true MC couldn't walk. Look @ bungies renders, it is SMOOTH. The nice transitional 45 degree angle shoulder that was once there, is now replaced with a thrashed up failed shell box. Now lets look down at the sides of the feet. Oh wait, there isn't any. THERE IS A HUGE GAP WHERE POLYGONS WOULD BE.
Why does this happen, you may ask. Basically, a VDM map does a dynamic tesselation displacement at rendering time, you might think, oh thats awesome, its a modeled bump map. Guess what? Many people think that the black part is lowered on a bump map, and the white stays the same. NOPE. Black areas on VDM stay the same, and the white areas around it raise up, thus giving the black areas a look as if they were lowered. But in the end, you just get a fat mc with polygonal breaks all over him.
