good work...u shoulda took ove the sentinal beam or the brute shot 3p model so that way it holds the flamethrower properly....
also your not supposed to make a post all caps as topic...change it :lol:

also...
while you may not want to...please could you post something to help other people inject the models properly? i guess then you could claim that you helped out the halo2 modding community that way :)

GJ tho...but is that its proper skin? seeing as i havnt actually seen the h1 model of flamethrower...first time...

Well here is a tutorial but please people if you are gonna make a topic do not make a topic about a mod with a model injection that is a 10 % mod make it a full scale mod

1.) Extract model with Dark Matter

2.) Open obj file (last lod) with MilkShape (use deep exploration for 3ds max)

3.) Then edit it how you please and save it but Milkshape doesnt overwrite files so save it as something new

4.) Copy the new obj model file you edited and delete all the obj files in the folder where original obj files were extracted and paste how many there were before and then rename to original names

5.) Open up map with Dark Matter and import the model and save the meta somewhere alone

6.) Then inject the meta recursively or add it to the map in tools

7.) It will create another model with the same name as the original one so if it was SMG there will be 2 smg's and i am asuming poke will fix this in a later build

8.) Open up the map in insolence and rename the second model created the was added to the map to something new

9.) Open up the map with Dark Matter and refrence the model from wherever it first starts(example: weapon;vehicle)

10.) Sign and FTP to xbox

11.) Have fun :wink:

I tried using that but i had to give it a more fire look and to do so i needed to refresh the map with a fresh copy and reinject the model and then inject a fp model as well and not just a 3p model

oooooh....i didnt recursivley inject...i just injected....although it ewas still succesful...but i never tested...ok kool

Ahh, wtf? How'd you get it working?

I've been trying for DAYS to get the AR working properly, I even made custom bitmaps, bumpmaps, and the like for it..

The maximum signature size is 500x120px at 75kb.

Haha funny how the first thing you metioned was about how he said thats the best thing he seen since induction. He didn't mean that it was on the same level as induction he meant that it was the best thing he has seen since it as in the other crap he has seen after induction was nothing good, and also I wrote that tutorial not DoorM4n but It doesnt really bother me it just bothers me that you act like you got all your facts straight when you don't

apart from the the tut naming thing

oh and looknbarrel...haha hilarious getting the AK in...wen i compared the ak with the battle rifel (my intention to overwrite it) it was so much bigger...but meh what ya gonna do...and plus there is the model resizer plugin so u dont have to manually changfe the model size...

ugh...why are people using the smg for their model to inject over...use your head...hmmm for the assault rife what would be the most similar animation that goes with it...cha ching the battle rifle or the carbine! the smg is nothing like holding a assault rifle :evil:

Actually, I was just doing a quick example that it isn't that hard. I used the SMG because the Battle Rifle would give me an exception anyways.

good job XD, i should start learning how to do this. Should custom models work the same way??? cause so far, all i have seen are halo 1 models?

7) The same model don't have the same name in insolence, it start wit i've no ?

9)Only 2 changes, in thehlmt dependence and in the weap lone ID ?
