I don't think it would be hybrid.
Halo 1 was old. Halo 2 was improved and evolved.
If you combined them, you'd have some sort of de-evolved 1.5.

Ok... So this Hybrid would be a little twitchy 8)

You could think of it as an improved Halo 1 sword

Hey, need some help on shadow raytracing.

I'm using the mental ray renderer and direct light with raytaced shadows. When i render, the shadows appear blocky like so:

This is has never happened to me before, so I have no clue how to fix it...if you guys need any other information about the scene to help me solve this, just ask and I'll get it posted.

Try changing the type of shadow casted by the light(s).

Merge your objects into a new scene so you have default rendering settings. And set up a standard omni in place of your existing one, with shadow maps.

maybe better specular and cubemaps on the armor. and then if you want the emblems would be a nice addition.

i used that to get mine. the hardest part for the emblems is unwrapping them, but once you figure out how its unwrapped its really easy. my xbox is officially broke now. doesnt play any games at all. :cry:
