You might want to rotate the pistol a bit.

Well after screwing around max for a couple hours I figured out how to make decent renders. I am of course still very much a newbie because I learned like a few hours ago so don't be too meen lol. It's just a bunch of shiny primitives...

Next time, please ask yourself these questions:

A) Does this have to do with Halo?
B) If I were making a gallery, would I put these renders in here?

If you have any sort of doubts, or are willing to say they're from a "newbie", they're definitely not render gallery quality.

Where in the title does it say. "halo"" render gallery?

Ok. Go take a look at the render gallery for a moment. Now ask yourself, is there anything non-halo in here? I believe it is safe to assume that only stuff related to halo would be considered to get into the render gallery.

Yes but i'm still not breaking any rules by posting this here, it doesn't matter if it doesn't have to do with halo. Nowhere in the title or the first post in the thread does it say post halo renders here, it only says "render submission gallery" and i'll post my stuff here if I feel like it. If veegie thinks otherwise he will change the thread title, but I doubt after 100 and something pages he gives a hoot.

But if you took the time to READ about these forums, you would know that the "Pictures" section is reserved for Halo-related images.

Don't argue.

Trulife, that looks very good but I will have to be picky and say that his fingers are reflecting a little too much to be rubber/whatever the leathery stuff is? Other than that the armour looks pretty good.
I say old chap, I rather fancy a spot of golf.

use the active camo bump, or one of the many normal maps that have been posted by people who made them.

No, it is not.
You extracted masterchief_bump with ch2r and put it on.
