The DoF looks a bit too dramatic. His feet shouldn't be that blurry.

thanks for the comments I like how the DoF is, just to make tural-poo happy im going to tone it down about and see how it goes, but all I need is the particles and some HDRI lighting and im set

the image you have of standoff is LDR, i guarentee it. And All HDR should be 32 bits, no matter what...

I know standoff is LDR because veggie told me that its impossible to make a 8 bit image into a true 32 bit HDRI. And yes, all hdri should be 32 bit.

24bit is the most easily obtainable from three bracketed exposures and easily suffices in 3D rendering.

24 bit is just fine for static images...
