What is the White MC's right leg doing?...
Compare the turret pose to the ingame one.
The Scorpian looks crunchy with that bump map, lose it.
The text is really obnoxious as well. Also, is that the Halo font I see? Lose it.
Your visor shader isn't masked properly either.
The text at the top is the only thing I really like.![]()

Looks nice, but you could add in some detail maps to make it look more like real metal (unless, of course, you were going for polished and shiny).
Veegie, if you give criticism in this thread, everyone else can. And it would be best to not even reply to this post, as it would probably lead to argument.

Thanks for the infoTanasoo wrote: Just a few things to add:
I'm going to assume that he (green) is saluting and not blocking the sun...
If you want a proper salute you need his upper arm parallel to the deck (not angled up). The thumb needs to be straight and along the index finger. The hand should be straight with the forearm and very slightly angled towards the face. And finally the index and middle finger should both be touching the "sun shade" of his helmet (assuming it is like the "sun shade" (or bill I guess it is called) of a military cover).
Oh yeah, If he is saluting then he should probably be standing at attention:
Heels together, and feet at 45 degree angles. He Most likely would not be holding the assault rifle, but that's up to you (to the extent of my knowledge, it is okay to hold something in your left hand when saluting... I have done it to my C.O. before and he never yelled at me...). If you decide to loose it, make the left hand into a fist, facing inboard and fingers along the trouser seams (side of the thigh armor)
But that's all just splitting hairs, his pose is pretty good. But if you do leave it like that you (and anyone else who makes an improper salute for that matter) will have to hear me whining about it at every chance I get!![]()
I like the scene over all, just tweak it a little and it will be great! You should add "U.N.S.C" or something like that, too.
Good Job!
Didn't want to double post...so UPDATE:

and i know the visor is bright, i like it a LOT better that way
Eat more chicken
... No one ever said that. I was just saying that you come off (to me at least) as a little grumpy. You just write your posts: Do this, Do that, Loose this, loose that, This is done wrong, that is bad, ect.. It just seems a little grumpy is all. Grab the stick and pull it out if you know what I mean... But that is just my opinion.Veegie wrote:So I guess I can't give unrequested criticism in my own thread without labeled a derogatory term. Chief Cow, I think I confused you. By upper arm I meant Bicep ect. not as in the top of the picture. Just reverse the angle of the upper/lower arms and you will be good. My bad

Other than that it looks real good! Although you might want to turn down the bump and specular of the scorpion a little.
Trulife8342, Thanks I forgot about that! Reminds me of the days in boot camp "GET DOWN AND START PUSHING THE GROUND AWAY!!!"

Looks like a rude suggestion that is attempting to start a flame war.Grab the stick and pull it out if you know what I mean...
"OH BUH IZ AN HONEST SUJJEZTUN"
Incorrect, it was unneeded completely. This topic is for posting work, no suggestions on how to improve one's quality. Do that here.
Chief Cow, the fact that you're posting "updates" in my thread leads me to believe that you do not know the true purpose of this thread. This thread is to show final works, not "updates". Work on your scene gradually in the previously-stated thread. So I ask you, PLEASE spend more time on your scenes, please... I shall offer no further criticism on this piece, to avoid further redundancy.

Well trep, kind of.
From what I know, you should only post your finished work here. If you are just posting a WIP of something you're doing, you should post it somewhere else where you can get better help on how to improve things, and have real discussions. This thread is for comments. Therefore, the author shouldn't really try to start up a discussion on his piece of art, but people in the thread can make comments on what they like and what they think should be changed.
Something like that... you know what I'm saying.

OK, chill Veegie, sorry.
But I don't thing He was posting a WIP in the beginning. But once he posted it and everyone Including you started commenting on it, He fixed it and posted an update instead of another post so he wouldn't tick anyone off, but I guess that did not work.
So to the admins:
If we post something that we think is good enough for the gallery and people comment on it, can we fix it and update it? Or do we just have to trash it...

Each post was in fact my final version of it, the only reason to update was to fix some minor errors that bugged everyone, my last post is indeed the last one that will be seen of that render. Sorry for the confusionVeegie wrote:

Don't risk it, just post it in the support topic. It isn't going to hurt you.Tanasoo wrote:OK, chill Veegie, sorry.
