Your graphics card has nothing to do with getting map files from your Xbox disc.

I thought that this was an interesting find. I was messing with the MC first person model and accidentally deleted the hands.

I then checked to see if the elite had the same thing, and it has a similar thing. Rather then the wrists the shoulders are anatomical like.

Has anyone managed to see these while playing?

The concept for the first one is quite nice. However, you need to work on your lighting and materials. And I hope the model for the laser isn't finished, because it looks really boxy. Also, you should make the laser part look a little better, I don't think the effect should be so big.

Ofcourse.
I tried to make the laser charge effect as close as I could, but I just couldn't get it right...

Otherwise, what are your comments on the others?

Rotate the hips/pelvis some. It will fix the texture stretching problem on the stomach and make the pose look more natural.

...It's on a rotator...

The last one is unappealing. A close up of a very low resolution texture never looks good.

Saying oh well isn't going to help you. You should work on the laser one, it has the most potential. Go look up some lighting tutorials for starters, and then once you get the lighting the way you like it, make better materials.

I would say materials first, then lighting. It is possible to make decent renders using the default lighting, but if your materials suck the lighting isn't going to help much.

When I said oh well I mean "Back to the drawing board".

And can you tell me what's wrong with the materials I use?
