I guess I don't have enough knowledge of what regular armour should look like, which means it doesn't look fake at all to me. It looks pretty damn real to me.

Other than a few minor annoyances (like the fact that several parts of it looks obvious that it's a flat image laid ontop of the old armor, they could have added some depth to the texture they used to match the curves in the armor) it looks good, and they did a good job, so that's the idea.

As unknownv2 said, I have indeed. I would argue I was one of the very first to see it. I talk to Anthony and others involved, frequently, about the processes of H3 modding and such. The thread stated a skin, although it is not, which I then interpreted you to be saying Anthony should skin the Spartan and post an image, which I was then going to tell you is impossible. I asked you "Do what?," directly asking what should he do, because you did not specify, not what has he done and what is possible.

one question, how was it done...just adding a jpeg into the folder on the HDD where the screenshots are saved?

The images are inside of container files. Only Anthony and a few other select people can resign the container files. He packaged the image in a container, resigned it, and uploaded it to his file share, to show it was possible to do.
