The best way to do it would be to make your own, at a much higher resolution using the original extracted normal as a reference. Some are better at it than others.... Jean. <_<
do you have any tips on how to do that? can you give me few few tips or links to tutorials please.

One uses detailing in the bumpmaps the other has a Blurred HDR image and Texture based detail and the last doesn't have a Blurred HDR image
BTW, what about the messed up UV Maps?

lol, this is a Help thread, not a rating, and i kinda need help
i looked for these Bumpmaps made by "Jean" but it looks like he took them down from his site because people were not crediting him, can someone rehost them and give me a link?

i cant help but notice but did you use mastercheifs falloff colors? because i could swear there supposed to be
232,68,232 as the first color and
249,153,107

And if your bumps pop out like that to fix it just put the bump map number to -100 and besure to use the alpha map as the specular and to use the detail map to make it look much better.

Alright I have made a new diffuse map for myself. It is the same armor but only without the battle damage. Tell Me What you guys think.

EDIT: Notice the Master Chiefs are in order from my first material to my latest.

Mine did that too. Go to Customize > Customize UI (Or something), then the Toolbars tab, and reset it to default. Too lazy to open Max and get exact names of the options. That should be sufficient.

My weapons have holes in them. I tried to weld the verts to .001 but still have holes here are some pics..
