Well nobody can give you the model from the game, as it is illegal to redistribute copyrighted materials.

then how about a model that somebody made, because i know that there are some around, but I have no idea how to import them because they are from Halo CE and all I want is two files, one the model and the other the bitmaps. I do not care if the model and the bitmap are not the ones used in the Halo 2 game, and as long as they do not look bad.

i need help with the skin modifier. i've used it before and i used the video tutorial, but i am doing it over again and i don't know how to make those balls appear in the spartans hands that make his hands automatically curl i think(like in the video tut). please give me a hand.

Hi, Im having a problem, The problem is after I import my MC, and if I zoom in he disappears, this hasnt happened on older files, I re-installed 3ds Max. Heres a pic.

your zooming to far for your fov. If you change that you can fix it.

I scale all my imported models up about 5000%.

quick question. What material modifier do i use to use alpha-maps as a soft or hard overlay for my textures? Should i just overlay useing PS or is there a different way. Also when i use the normal map in the bump slot in the additional bump area do i insert a bump map or a normal map in that. And is there a way to find out in entity if a shader is useing a textures Alpha map or not?

3DS is not Photoshop.
Why not take a look at Darco's tutorial first then brnch off from that? I think it would help.

none of you guys even know what im talking about... Most of the textures in the game have alpha maps and i plan on useing them as a detail map. I already know 3ds is not photoshop....

well i cant show it to you because it havent been dont yet. So il rephrase it. I want to use the alpha map of the texture and mix it with the base texture.
