I agree with Junkfoodman, in that it looks very dirty. And if you compare it to the rubber, which looks very clean it doesn't match.

Thanks KKC. ;p Anyway, I've been looking at the Beretta 9000 tutorial everyone links to, and I think what I'm going to do is export what I have and try to finish it in 3dsMax.

I don't have an opacity map set up for the windshield, nor do I have any idea how to set up a working one, :P .

You don't need an opacity map. Just lower the amount, like he said.

If youw ant to add opacity, put the alpha in the opacity slot for it. And set it to around ~25.

The alpha for the windshield, on the Warthog standard, is pure white. You don't need to put the alpha there, it will change nothing. Just lower the value.

I lowered the value and all it does is make it really grey like the color of the model.
I have the reflection map set up with a reflect/refract with the Vehicle_glass as the cubemap. For the windshield theres no active maps except the reflection.

So I'm using this tutorial, kay? And when I apply my reference image to the plane, its all pixelated and the quality is terrible. Is there any way to fix this? Or am I SOL? =/

Change your viewport settings whilst you're in OpenGL.

3ds Max n00b: Er....How. I've run the 'Change Graphics Mode' thing and it all looks really pixelated still. I ran it using OpenGL, but I'm not sure where to change viewport settings. Could you point me towards said settings? o.o [/3dsMaxn00b]

I'm not too familiar with it, so if this has nothing to do with it, ignore me, but try this:

Customize > Preferences > Viewports > Configure Driver > Download Texture Size

Set it to 512 and check the checkbox.

This is what I did to make mine look better. First, I went to Customize - Preferences - Viewports - Choose Driver

Pick openGL

Reboot max, then go back to Customize preferences - viewports. Now in configure driver, match this.

Also. if the bitmap is already really low res, it wont improve it by much.
