Im trying to make multiple shaders for Spartans, so they look like they came out of a battle or are about to go into one. But, Im having problems with the 4th shader. It is supposed to look shot up and war torned, but I did a crappy job. Can someone help me or teach me how to make a better alpha channel or bump map please? Thank you.

Its nice material wise, but the bump and specular stuff looks off.

Like Tural said, shadows look weird, but other than that, I love it. I also noticed that that Battle Rifle scope isn't colored in? o.o

I think Noobraska is a pretty cool state. eh grows corn and doesn't afraid of anythng.

Good catch, I guess I never bothered to actually make the material, it only had a standard shader.

I know my detail bumps are messed up, I need to redo them.

Okay, so, I just got Cinema 4d, and I've been playing around with it for the last few days and I decided I wanted to try making a gun an hour ago or so. So I found this huge reference pic of the gun I wanted to make and cut it out with the pen tool in Photoshop and exported the paths to .ai, imported to C4D, used extrude NURBS with hierarchal checked, and put a lain gray material over it. Now, to the point, where do I go from here? I did this completely on my own without a tutorial, so I'm not sure what to do next. I guess what I'm asking for is a shove in the right direction, if one of you modeling gods would be willing to provide it. =x

I'd also like to say real quick, this is the first model/render I've made without using primitives/preset materials.

I know nothing about this stuff at all, but let me be the first to tell you that you're doing it wrong. :?
Try some plane modeling tutorials.

Nice GIR! Try adding more details and model the sides to make look more realistic. YOu got the side views down!

Well, theguardian, The only thing I can point out is that the armour seems a bit...well...Dirty. If they are detail maps, try to make them less noticable.
