It's not a cube map, it's just regular reflection using Mental Ray... and then I've got a 'cloudy' enviornment going on inside of it... I didn't even think to re-do the visor with a cube map, since I was mostly concentrating on trying to get the armor right

lol, I'm not even really sure, just trying to make it look 'better'... or as good as I can get it to look with what I've got. It's a lot of trial and error for me haha, but it's more fun that way I think.

Niice, I like, the marine's eyes are creepy haha, I hate doing the eyes, they always end up looking really weird

at the moment ive not got much in terms of materials what im working on now is the pose first things first though:
i know the spartan laser is ment to be held with both hands il get round to that but i want to know in which way would it look best?

The camo one is the normal map, use that.

use it in one of the slots of an rgbmultiply and tile it at 9x9.

I am actually rendering with Blender(a free software), i have a big problme, when i use bumpmaps on a model and enable the reflection, the reflection is missed up, so i asked on a blender forum for that, i am waiting for a solution, but i think it's a problem with the software and not my settings on the materials.
