Cool, but the top outside part seems like it has way too many scratch things, but if they were placed more evenly it'd look better.

All those bumps on top, like the little parts that look like they've been hit by bullets or something.

And Offspring, that render could use some shadows, and the tank light lens flare thing looks odd.

That's what I would think of how a Pelican JUST made would look like :)

ok, just "finished" my mac gun stations. I extracted "most" of it with the correct uvw maps, but many of the pieces were missing and I had to attemp uvw mapping by hand. Anyway, here's a shot of a few in the scene i'm working on.

Dire Hunter, I would suggest adding some sort of lighting first off and make sure the shadows are enabled. Then, I would add a map scaler modifyer to the plane that they are standing on and tile it alot more. bump/specular maps would help also.

Ross - It feels like there's too many stars and the Earth texture could be a little higher quality.

Dire - You need bumps, but it looks like you used YafRay or something...

actually, the image was a little dark so I just brightened it in ps. All of the lights are actually in the scene, but in the pic above, I accidentally have one of my "suns" on earth that shouldn't be.

As for the stars, it's an issue that i'm aware of. I have been searching for a really high res star map, and I have been experimenting with the current one also. tiling the texture more (already at 5x) helps make it look "crisper" but also makes it look even more cluttered. Maybe I will try lowering the output amount or illumination settings. thanks for the constructive criticism though, :D .

It looks like he used a cubemap in place of the diffuse map, or it could just be he has the cubemap in the reflection slot and its very apparent, lol.
