basically, it's just a camera flyby of the covenant fleet which consists of 600 battle cruisors and 100 capital ships. The single leviathan ship is where the chief and elite(s) are fighting and is also the point of convergence for the human and covenant fleet. the human fleet (not shown here) will also consist of 700 ships.
I think that I'll have to disable the specular bloom due to the "blinking" nebula and sun. Also, what do you think of the music?
Holy Beep rossgemuend! The only thing i would add would be a few Orbital Defence Grid Stations (Mac Gun Stations) Like, Cario. Also what music did u use on that, it seems very apocoliptic? Nice stuff

Ditto If you added Orbital Defence Grid Stations, that be freakin awesome. I noticed that the "sun" goes out each time a ship passes by, which is fine I guess, but there is no corona (I beleive thats what it's called >.<) shining on the outside. Looks awesome though
I thought Turf had...you know....light, scenery, bumpmaps, and detail maps.

the video is divx. The song is "Jillian" by "Within Temptation". I would LOVE to put orbital defense grids in the scene BUT, i can't uvw map. I'm willing to learn, i just haven't had the time lately. If anyone has one that they'd be willing to let me use, i'd be very grateful.
that was the shit. could use some work, as it looked like they were all drifting off to the right. i would suggest lining up the camera with the middle of the fleet next time, that way it looks like they're all converging on one spot and not drifting in either direction.

yeah, no ships were even moving in the scene. it was just a camera flyby. In the final scene, all of the ships are dynamically changing speed and direction while avoiding each other. The battle cruisers (smaller ships) will be moving at about 1.5 times the speed of the capital ships. I've decided to turn off raytracing for all of the ships accept for the one leviathan that the fight takes place on because i can't render without memory errors. it also reduces each frame from 10 minutes to about 2. Just wait until you see the human fleet!

i agree about the too many ships thing, but in the scene, they are spread much thinner and they look much better. i'll show more when i calculate the crowd behaviors later. I need to get all of the static objects into the scene first so i can tell the crowds what to avoid. (for anyone that doesn't know what a crowd is, it's something that controls other objects' behavior)
