The Library

Based upon the legendary Halo CE level, this map plays remarkably well considering it's source material. Being that the original Library level was so open, it really doesn't lend itself well to multiplayer since it lacked cover. So I took the more common geometries found throughout the level and made it a bit more functional for multiplayer. Slide jumping is required to get to the top of the "legs" as the top half of the original Library's were also unwalkable. You may experience some lag around the man cannons due to a ridiculous amount of interlocking. I would have much rather used gravlifts but they just wouldn't work. And in case anyone is still wondering yes, this map is not only laughably over budget but also at the item limit. And now, onto the details.

I can't see similarities when the aesthetics are different (the only pic I could relate to was the elevator), but when I download it I'm sure I'll see the layout.

Well it isn't supposed to be EXACTLY like it. If it was it wouldn't be playable at all since the original level was so open (like an MLG map with less cover). I took a few of the common elements and conglomerated them into this. To base this off of the source content took a bit of improvisation since Foundry's objects don't allow me to do exact builds. I think it's close enough to be recognized where the influence came from but reworked so it can support more playability than just BR's and Snipers. My only issue are the bases since I not only reached the item limit but didn't have enough objects to make them a bit more funtional.

i saw this featured on forghub very good. Its not in my taste im in love with straight up mlg maps but the time and effort to get it to look that good very nice.
