by Prey
Name: Johnson
Author(s): Prey
Version: 1.4
Description: Primarily a research tool, Johnson can; explore map files; preview .blf image files; and parse .mapinfo language files.
.dta Plugin Format (new)
Based off of the .ent format, this format supports various more datatypes, as well as re-tuned existing ones. DTA stands for "Defined Through Attributes" - a fairly accurate description of the format. Read the included readme for more details.
Also, .ent and .cs plugin formats are still supported by the Meta Editor, and all three formats can be converted to and from with the included Plugin Converter.
Changes Made
1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 - 1.4
- Overall speed Increase.
- Recently opened files remembered.
- Tag Meta Editor.
- Plugin Converter Tool.
- And much, much more smaller updates made.. and features added.. =)
Also,
Research!..

Looks a lot more touched up and more clean and has a little modern user interface. Too bad we can only explore and look.

Just found two slight bugs with the Meta Editor. Fixed downloads are up.

Uh, nice.
Another great tool ... I hope it will not take any longer to Test them ...
Why do Prey not work on Engineer too ?
You could make 1 big great tool in between of 2 good tools ^^

You will most likely need .NET Framework 2.0 to open this if you don't already have it.

Sorry, but what is .NET Framework 2.0?

It lets you run applications written in a .Net language.

Almost all of the applications on this site require that version of .NET Framework. Just download the file on the other end of the link that shade5 posted, install it, and you are good to go!
And I noticed a resigner on this application. I know that this is very unlikely that this signs the map, so what does it do?

Re-calc's the checksum in the header, not the hashes.

Oh, ok. I have no idea what that means, but thanks for clearing that up. You might want to put that on the main post because a lot of people will probably ask.
