Sandbox 3.3
That would be incredibly tedious and inaccurate. That's a really, really unrealistic solution. For someone to model every map to the proper scale would just be absurd. You can just find the coordinates in game, it's not that hard, and the convenience of a 3D viewer would be so far insignificant when compared to the amount of work it would take to do what you're suggesting. With the map being low-poly and lacking detail, you wouldn't have the clear, specific points on the map anyways. You'd just be able to put the object in the general area where you want it, and doing that would be no better than just getting the coordinates by placing an object there or getting them otherwise in the game. I don't know how you could even fathom someone modeling every map to scale, and every weapon, and every scenery object, and every everything. That's not going to happen.

For example you can now set all instances of "objects\weapons\rifle\covenant_carbine\covenant_carbine" to "Covenant Carbine" and write comments about the tags like "This tag will only show on host machines" or something like I did in the picture below.Lone_Wolf wrote:What do you mean by giving things custom names?

Id wait till version 3.2 is released before trying to use this feature though because I have improved it alot.

Ok 3.2 is up
To edit a tags name and comments just right click its icon in the editor window and choose "Edit Tags Database Entry" if the tag is not in the database already choose "Add Tag to Database". You can also delete a tags database entry by choosing "Remove Tags Database Entry"

Ive included my database which is just a bunch of copy/pastes from halowiki.com.
