Extracting Usermaps from films

I thought it was possible, but I am having trouble figuring it all out. As far as I can see, Halo 3 films contain the usermap variant they were played on.
If anyone knows how to extract usermaps from films, please share!

Step 1: Watch the film
Step 2: Go to Custom Games
Step 3: Scroll recent maps/gametypes

You do know that doesn't work for forge games right? The forge map is still in the film data, but it will not show up as a recent map.

If the map wasn't saved before the video took place it won't be in your recent games list.
