What am I doing wrong?

Post by mike5436 »

So I have xplorer 360 and xport and I know how to acess the usermaps (forge maps) I make a mod then resign in forge. I replace the usermap on my harddrive with the the modded one and the mods don't activate. I am positive that i'm replacing the map correctly but it may be the modding part. Has anybody modded any forge maps in the program forge? Please help :(

in the download section, when you download a forge modded map are the maps ready to go no resigning required because i couldn't get those to work either. I just downloaded them then placed them under the correct folder under my gamer tag and they did not show up in my xbox. Could the reason be that their is additional files sent to the internal hard drive in the xbox that allows maps to be shown in the menu? In that case would I need to make a map in forge on my xbox and then replace it with one of the modded forge maps I downloaded.

Try deleting the old map, then moving the newer map.

No, you have to resignt the usermaps with your own ID's.

A CON file generated on your Xbox 360.

Yes. Make a map in forge and save it. Hook up your 360 HD to your computer, start up the program you use to transfer files, and make sure to click "date modified". Scroll to the usermap that was made at the latest date, should be the one you just made. Then transfer it to your computer. Open up the HaloMods Container Tool and open the usermap you just transferred to your computer. It will tell you the current Profile ID and the Device ID. These are the ones you need. Use that to resign your maps.
