Even If one was stupid enough. You wouldn't have the tools necessary to mod.

I guess Halomods doesn't support film editing at all. Only gametypes and usermaps.xI_V3n93ance_Ix wrote:Some Questions :

True
But HaloMods is actually the main Source for Halo modding.
The other side (I dont know if I can say the name) is full of little Kids or just guys who got banned from here ( Shadow lag
).
Here they would get more feedback, and more Bugs could be found and more suggestions for a better Version, and more ...
Sure its their descision, but I just dont understand ^^

No, not really. It would just become more people looking to "get" recon. Almost nobody "over there" does research on film modding. They just like pretending they have Recon and Bungie armor and putting it in their fileshare and taking screenshots like they actually have Recon or that somebody actually cares. There's nothing to improve on. You change the values, it's done. There isn't anything more to it. No bugs, nothing.xI_V3n93ance_Ix wrote:True

I'd prefer it if this site kept clean of that actually. But, I would prefer it if people helped in other film modding things, beside the stupid armor.
I agree with unknown about the 'other' place, they all pretend that they do something, and claim that they have done things that are impossible. I tried teaching many of them how to think for themself and not depend on someone elses research and learn how to do it themselves or how it worked.... all they responded with was poor attempts to get private modding apps. Also, if you want to know what HaloMods supports, go check what the current version of the Container tool supports. Right now its only gametypes and forge maps, and i dont think they will ever add screenshots and films are probably not likely unless some amazing research is done, ie learning how the data is converted into movement and making your own films pc based, etc. but that will most likely never happen, so basically Halomods is going to support Gametypes and Forge Mods until something else worth adding comes around. The 'other' place is also the root of a con resigner being released, all theyve done is bring bad towards HM and XBL. This isnt the first time either, we all know what info they released for H2.

They cant keep a good man down
Always keep a smile when them want see me frown
They will never ever take I&I crown

to put it in really simple terms, if you don't have the connections to get a dev kit or obtain one by other measures, then there is probably no reason you need one other than to be the coolest kid on the blockThemandyou wrote:But, Microsoft doesn't slip up in giving out Dev kits, to non approved devs, which means a dev sold it, or it was stolen.kornman00 wrote:a flexible pocket book, right place at the right time & ebay
And I heard there was a GPS in every dev kit.

I was reading the latest Weekly Update on BNet, and I saw this:
What if you met somebody on Xbox Live, who noticed that you were from a different ethnic background to them, and they took offence to that. (You know it happens a lot). What if they then modded up some content, then searched the file and replaced every instance of their gamertag, with yours, and then uploaded it to a second account's file share? Who would the "system" identify as the author, and then get the mother of all bans?Authoring modified content in a File Share
Our definition of modified content is content that is created or uploaded outside of the parameters of what can be done using the game-provided tools. This includes but is not limited to: “hacked” variations of maps and screenshots that are not Halo 3 images (you know what these are).
Also, it’s important to note that once you’ve downloaded a piece of moderated content and renamed it – the system considers you the author of said content. Simply renaming the content is not going to shift the onus of ownership from you to say, Shishka – the system is smarter than that.
Authors of uploaded modified content received the following prizes:
* The account is permanently banned from Matchmaking
* Permanent loss of File Share functionality.
* The Xbox hardware has been banned from Halo 3 for a month.

Those who can't play, mod.
And those who can't mod, mod PC.
The second account, the one that hosted the file. It identifies the profile ID, not the author's name written in the file, because they know people change that name quite frequently. If they wanted to, they could have Microsoft ban the console, and all accounts on that console, from Live as well, which is what happened to Detox, I believe.
