2. The sidecar, only useful for real game development, PIX has no use for modding, dvd emu may though.
3. Internal XBL used for developers.

Many things are only accessible on it. I'll leave it at that.Ghostlypickel wrote:Is the sidecar removalble? And I know partnernet is for developers but what are its "Specail features"?
In regards to the sidecar, yes.
No.latinomodder wrote:Please don't ask about or mention partner net on public forumsGhostlypickel wrote:Is the sidecar removalble? And I know partnernet is for developers but what are its "Specail features"?

The people who mod either use devkits or the usermap modding with Anthony resigning the maps.Eaton wrote:I have a question. Ok, I know a few people can mod Halo 3, but what do they do to play the maps? Do they burn the maps to a disk to play them, or is there another method... I have been thinking about this for a while and I would like a simple answer. Thank you!
I thought resigning the maps was completely impossible... It says that in the main post.unknownv2 wrote:The people who mod either use devkits or the usermap modding with Anthony resigning the maps.Eaton wrote:I have a question. What do you mean by usermap modding?

modding the forge filesEaton wrote:I thought resigning the maps was completely impossible... Oh, ok. So tha tis the only way they do it? They don't modify the Halo 3 maps directly? Just the Forge files?sneakyn8 wrote:modding the forge filesEaton wrote:I thought resigning the maps was completely impossible... Ah, ok. But all of the best modding takes place directly on the map files so modding forge files must be "limited."unknownv2 wrote:There's no Halo 3 map resigner, so forge map modding is what they do because Anthony made a CON resigner.
If you want to modify the actual maps, you'll first need a devkit, then get friendly with a couple of people around here.

It is. That's why the other way is so much funner (to see).Eaton wrote:Ah, ok. Lol. I did see the picture yesterday and that looks really funny. Ok, one more question, how did -DeTox- skin Valhalla? Was that a map mod or a forge mod? Or was it a Photoshop...unknownv2 wrote:It is. That's why the other way is so much funner (to see).Eaton wrote:Ah, ok. Pretty much nothing for the regular joe. There's only a handful of people who Anthony trusts and are close enough to him to let them make maps (forge maps) and resign them. But, as great as forge modding is, it is extremely limited because you can only swap things that are on the map.Lone_Wolf wrote:Im Curious as to what the current modding limetations you guys are at.
Then there are those other handful of people here who have devkits and can do a lot more and as they progress, we will start seeing better and better things.
Haha, Photoshop...
