Assuming some forge map mods are released (not leaked) in a final form, and (obviously) do not allow for cheating: like say allowing for 16 flamethrowers or hornets on a map, would these need to be played offline? Do you think Bungie would ban the creator or users of such modified content over Live? I'm sure this is being explored right now, and I think it could potentially be a great work-around to actually changing and resigning the map files, at least for the time being. Thanks.

If you have the ability to extract files from you HDD, you can compare files and map out the format...
It's not like you need a signer to do that.
Just buy XSATA like the rest of us.
yeah but without a resigner its hard to test any theories. Hypothesis can only go so far.

No punishment in terms of your XBL Account, but they have been banning people from the forums.Tural wrote:Nobody has been banned for using the modifications, and Bungie is more aware of it than you might think. They show no intention of issuing punishments, so long as it does not interfere with matchmaking.
true, but what to start looking for that wouldnt already be known... hmmmm....

your link didnt work for meOwnZ joO wrote:I really like the plugin system. I though about implementing plugins like this in a program a while back, but didn't think about doing it like this, I like this better than how I would have done it. Maybe I'll actually do some work with plugins if I actually get halo 3 and mod it, I'd be much more comfortable with this format since I code in C# anyway. Good work Anthony.

It says
If they spent more time doing it on their own rather then trying to steal\rip someones code they would prob have somewhat right information
Now can we get back on this topic that is for Halo 3 retail game research?
