Forging Campaign
Yea theres two files in the personal0000**** CON file one is your campaign progress and the other is your game settings and whatnot.unknownv2 wrote:That's what they are called.mxrider108 wrote: That's awesome!
You say this data is stored in the "personal profiles," but I thought Halo 3 creates a save file for campaign (just not for multiplayer), and thus this type of data would be there instead of the profile?

theres a glitch that i know with a lag switch to do forge in campaign but if you stay oracle for more than 5 secs your xbox freezes..............
So that still leaves most of us at needing a working CON resigner in order to modify what is in the personal profile.
There seem to be a lot of good ideas, but since the modding public currently doesn't have a way to run homebrew/unsigned content on the 360 these ideas can't go anywhere. its a shame.

That has nothing to do with this topic.halodu03de wrote:theres a glitch that i know with a lag switch to do forge in campaign but if you stay oracle for more than 5 secs your xbox freezes..............
well, yes actually. in halo 2 the maps had 4 slots for bipeds, the 1st were used by single player maps the end 2 were used for multiplayer. but since halo 3 campaign has 4 bipds then unless more slots were added it would work since the bipds are already there (were as in halo 2 they had to be added)Tural wrote:And it would magically work, completely unlike previous games?xzodia wrote:and changing this to a campaign map might cause it to appear on the multiplayer menu...giving use halo 3 mpc >_>

In halo 2 there was a Map ID for Menu things, but it was in the scenario.Shock120 wrote:would it be stored in the [Matg]?grimdoomer wrote:But we dont have any single player usermaps.....
Do campaign maps already have the ingame forging menu?
If anyone manages any of this, please show some saved footage.

Ah, gotcha. I was thinking of a "profile" as in the XBL profile save (because that's what holds your armor perms/emblem info).shade45 wrote:Yea theres two files in the personal0000**** CON file one is your campaign progress and the other is your game settings and whatnot.unknownv2 wrote:That's what they are called.mxrider108 wrote: That's awesome!

Yet campaign maps don't reference the forge UI tags (and thus don't have them built into the maps) nor have any data filled in their forge related tag blocks in the scenario...so its not going to be just a simple "ohai switch these bytes and vola! i r first to make forge campaign ". Not only would you need to be able to add new tag data to maps, but also new resources.
simple as 3.14Shock120 wrote: + adding maps to the mainmenu
yea so forging wouldnt work but it would be good just to get the map to load for custom gameskornman00 wrote:Yet campaign maps don't reference the forge UI tags (and thus don't have them built into the maps) nor have any data filled in their forge related tag blocks in the scenario
