Halo 3 ping filter.
What?
It would require knowledge of decrypting\encrypting xexs and also PPC assembly and then other generic operations encountered in figuring out algorithms\what have you, and how to find them using sample data. Not only that but perhaps a little bit of experience with the 360's networking API wouldn't hurt.
How many members on these boards can you pick out using those parameters? Right, not many.
How many members on these boards can you pick out that can do more than change a tag reference? Right, not many ;p.

You have no clue what you are talking about. Please don't try to contribute to this topic. It shows your IQ. Ping does to have to do with your Internet speed. Ping is the time it takes packets to go from their source (PC, Xbox 360, ect.) to their destination (Website server, Xbox Live server, ect.) and for the source to receive a reply. Usually ping is measured in milliseconds, but with dial-up its probably is measured in seconds.haxalot88 wrote:Ping has nothing to do with your internet speed.thehaloarray wrote:Are you sure about the ping limit for halo 3 on live because you can use dail up to play halo 3 on live.
I could have 10 kb/s with the same ping as a 100 kb/s connection. Yes, I know that ping is how much time it takes to get the packets to their destination. However most ISP's don't limit the internet speed by how long it takes for the packets to get to the destination, instead they limit how many packets can travel through your bandwidth at once. So ping is mainly limited by your hardware, and how fast your hardware can transfer the packets, not by how many packets your hardware can transfer.scynide wrote:You have no clue what you are talking about. Destination AND back.haxalot88 wrote:I could have 10 kb/s with the same ping as a 100 kb/s connection. Yes, I know that ping is how much time it takes to get the packets to their destination.
You think the connection is only dependent on my hardware? Let me give you a quick example here...I live in a village in the middle of nowhere...from the moment on my CPU stores the bytes into an array it get's transfered by a wireless frequency of ~802Mhz to a router which turns those bytes again into light impulses which go to the modem which in MY CASE BECAUSE MY CONNECTION SUCKS are being converted to electric impulses until it arrives the internet service provider and so on.haxalot88 wrote:However most ISP's don't limit the internet speed by how long it takes for the packets to get to the destination, instead they limit how many packets can travel through your bandwidth at once. My max connection on this is 50kb/s down not because I can't afford more hardware, because it's plain downright impossible for me since my area doesn't have fiber optic cables and definitely not by how much the ISP limits my connection.
