My original account was Cain532 and my e-mail was Cain532@msn.com

When I go to log in, it says that I have to reset my password, so when I try to do that it says that my e-mail address could not be found, yet when I try to recreate my account using Cain532@msn.com, it says that the e-mail address is in use....

By the look of it, Cain532 doesn't use that e-mail.

What the hell......The way you talk it's almost like you don't believe that it's really MY account...

I'm just saying, The e-mail and information provided doesn't match. Did you move or something from your last login on your old account?

I never changed the e-mail address. Ever since the switch over to this new halomods setup (don't get me wrong, I love it really I do) I havn't been able to recover my old account.

I strongly urge the staff to weigh this carefully. Ofttimes valuable or important services can be compromised by certain sensitive information within an accounts private settings.

Do you have any other evidence to prove that it is indeed your account?

That was sometime around last August. So Cain532's email certainly is, though it may not have been registered with, cain532@msn.com

If he can send an email from the account of Cain532@msn.com, then that'd probably be enough to prove that it's his account.

I would suggest that if the account was to be reset and handed over to this user that all the personal information be cleared from the account first. If the user is indeed who he says he is, nothing will be missed, and if he is not, nothing of importance will be compromised.

Why? There's no real information not already publicly available on these accounts.

The only way that you could confirm the account would be to e-mail me at the account's e-mail, terminator6987(at)aol.com. If that's really not your e-mail, I don't know what we could do, you could just go along with the current account you have, seeing how theres nothing special about that account except for the join date. There are no accolades attached to it, no emblems or anything. If you can't e-mail me from the account's e-mail, just carry on with the account you have now.

It does. I am not talking about anything stupid like posts or emblems, just any and all profile fields that are not public. Revealing the email behind the account has already undone what I was attempting to prevent. It doesn't take more than an email and a name to get an Xbox live account these days, and perhaps even other services.

I wouldn't be too suprised.. My Xenon.7 account said the password could not be converted since the forum upgrade, so me and Geo tried resetting the password, forgetting my password, reactivating automatically, etc etc. Took a while before it worked but yeah some whack things went on with accounts so I wouldn't be surprised.
