HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I posted this the the phpbb3 error thread, but everybody ignored it for some reason.
The forum for Halo 1 xbox outstanding mods is gone. Can it be recovered? What happened to it?

Nothing was purposefully deleted during the change. I cannot see said forum, so it may have been lost during the upgrade. You're not by any chance talking about the HaloMods Elite forum, are you?

No, there was definitely an Outstanding Mods section in the Halo Xbox forum before the move.

If you check the phpbb2 backup you should find it in there... you did make a backup, right?

Yes Geo, there was. A lot of great mods were in there.

Any news on this yet? I'd like to see that forum alive again, but more importantly, download some sweet xbox mods.

I can't seem to find it. As I stated, nothing was purposefully deleted during the upgrade, so I think it must have been accidentally lost somehow. I'll talk to SourceGuy, try see if it's in the backup database, and if so, see if there is a way to merge it into the current board.

Unless I put it into another category by accident? I wouldn't know what was in it, so I can't really say.

I quickly checked the other Outstanding Mods sections under PC, CE & Halo 2 but didn't find anything.

Also, after the upgrade I noticed I had lost a few posts; I had just over 200 before and now I'm just under, so I suspect this is where they've gone. I had a couple of topics to do with PAL NMP stuff in there, thinkreddie had some AI stuff in there, and there was some SP->MP and CE->Xbox conversions also... I can't remember specifics about what was there.

I also lost several hundred, rather, several thousand posts. These may have been in the Recycle Bin or Trash boards that got removed or something, I didn't check, but is there a known reason for losing thousands of posts?

I don't know the reason, personally. I've lost about 5 thousand in all my time being here. A little over 2k during the sweep/merge, and another 2+ thousand during the server swap.

What does Post count matter in Hidden forums?

It doesn't, I'm just curious what content was lost that caused several thousand of my posts to disappear. You'd think losing several thousand posts would be a significant issue when modifying a database.

Well as of this time last year there was only 9 mods in that section.
