Modeling Competition.

Post by TomClancey »

As the title suggests, I think HM should have a modeling competition. Much like FacePunch's where the winner of the previous competition starts up the new one and chooses his/her own theme. Then the people who want in the competition just make a make model that pertains to the theme. There are normally polygon limits, and the model must be textured with a 1024x1024 diffuse/specular/opacity map (any combination of the three).

If you guys like the idea you can discuss it and improve upon the idea of it.

Halomods isn't a modeling site. We don't even have modding competitions, let alone other random competitions.

I don't see why it matters, Tural. Anything that brings more activity to the forums wouldn't hurt... :?

The involvement would be minimal. If you want to make a competition, make it directly relevant to modding one of the games or something. You're free to have a competition to see who's model gets into a mod or something. However, there's no point in holding a random modeling competition. There are sites devoted to modeling, where that would be better fit. As I stated, this is HaloMods, not HaloModels.

Eh...I'd say feel free to do this dude, but don't expect any official support.

Have fun.
