HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Somebody has to do something about those 'old' threads where the pictures are all removed. Anybody PLEASE do something about it, it makes me mad then they say "The pictures pretty much explain it..." and of coarse, the pictures are gone Any help to fix the growing issue is needed

I don't know what you guys think about this, but when you browse through old mods, the missing pictures just depress you.

Thanks to some PM'ing, those pictures are now back.

You might want to provide some examples...if you want to take pictures of the mod, we'll edit their post with the new/updated pictures.

Their hosting abilities are beyond our control...

As KB said, it is beyond our control once this happens. It's not like we keep backups on our server...

Keeping a back-up of EVERY picture ever posted on this site would take up and extensive amount of space. O_o

This doesn't really go with this but maybe this site should make backups of the site. Like just once every week or something.

I agree w/ everything you guys said about the pictures. It's up to the person who posted them so yeah. BTW, that app has pics now so yeah.

Who says we don't back up the database?

There are backups of Halomods, but not of all the content linked to it.

If you want, I'll go around and find all of the broken images and fix them...

If the pictures are down, PM the topic creator.

Also, to anyone reading this. We encourage you to upload your pictures for your mod to Halomods. That way, the picture is up, while Halomods is up.
