It may seem like im spammin the complaints section, but I'm not, im done being a noobtard. Its just theres so much to complain about:
A. I'm getting sick of the total lazyness here, example:
"Hey, I was just wondering how to mod"
Reply:
"Use google or the search function".
Now I dont know about you guys, but when I first started, I couldnt find shit with the search function, its oddly confusing when you first start.
B. Let go of thier grammer for GODS SAKE!
Example:
"Im like noobish with modding, cna u lik mod 4 halo pc with something, cuz i h8 hex."
I see things like this all the time, its perfectly readable, if you cant read it, say it outloud, you learned that in kindergarten people.
Reply:
"learn grammer"
He didnt come here to learn grammer, he came here to mod.
C. Flaming new people
This just generally happens sometimes, a lot of the time its at the grammer, I don't have any specific topics right now, they just come and go. But its not really the best thing to do.
And as this is all happening im thinking "No freaking wonder this site has gone down" Why is there hardly any modders you ask? Well, im sure the people who don't help new people because of a few HUMAN ERRORS can tell you.

Our replies to such questions get harsh when, A.) they refuse to read Rules/Stickies in the tutorials section, B.) when they ask stupid questions like "How Do I mod" when theres multiple threads on it.
As for the grammar, When you first Join, it says you have to be exactly 13 or older to Join without Parental consent. when they check the box, we expect them to act with a certain Maturity level, and typing like a 8 year old on Myspace isnt Mature.

Actually, I can't read half their posts, and I had the reading ability of a 14-year-old at age 6.

Mature or not, some people can't spell. Besides, sometimes I talk in leet and no one gets pissed at me.
As for the "How do i mod" questions, live with it. This is a Modding community, those questions are in every single community. Accept it and help.
It just really makes me mad how helping people has become a huge task for most people these days.

Its not leet that gets to me, its the blatant misspellings and the fact that they accept they cant spell, and refuse to correct it. Halomods isnt some IM chat where you shorten every word with a letter, Its a webforum. It just makes it a bit easier to read.

Still, it should be a good idea to try instead of pissing them off because they can't spell very good.
When I first joined hm I couldnt spell worth crap, but as you go on in modding, for some strange reason, grammer just comes to you.

No, talking with "real" words is never going to be a rule, but it is highly recommended that you speak correctly while speaking if you want the maximum amount of readers of your post. You must also accept that if you type "bad" you may not get the same response (It is almost guaranteed that you will get a better response if you write correctly)
As for the using google and the search function, there isn't a lot we can do about it. Many questions on these forums have been asked and answered for the umpteenth time. People get tired of it. It's just true, if you want to get the answer to these questions, you're going to have to use a bit of thought and creative ways to find the answers. Sometimes just asking isn't going to cut it. Of course, you could also browse through the tutorials...

I know theres nothing the staff can do about the google/search function thing, that was more out to the halomods members.
But I think its bullshit that some people are totally incapable of helping people because they cant spell correctly, I just don't think its right that the new people have to put up with that. I'm pretty sure they dont want to hear how bad thier grammar is, heres a topic that really brought this to my concern:
http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=41314
I dunno why but I was surprised to see some of the moderators take part of this. I think it should count as a flame:
Grenadiac wrote:Do not post topics or replies containing:
-Flames directed towards other users (locked on sight, possibly with a -Any degratory comments based on age, gender, race, ethnicity or nationality (which will be met with a swift ban)
A common definition of flame:
Flame: Any statement directed towards any users in an offensive way. Or sending messages that harshly critisize someone.
I dunno about you guys, but I'd be pissed if when I asked a question I had a topic full of people picking at my grammar.

I found this to be incorrect. Especially that "Purple monkey dishwasher" comment. Harsh criticism isn't a flame. It might be
part of a flame, but it alone does not constitue a flame. =/
