A little rule discrepancy

A little rule discrepancy

Post by Danke »

The normal "Rules" topic for the whole forum:
http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2
The "Rules" topic for the Sig Testing forum:
http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7

Regular Rules:
Ensure that your signature:
-Is not more than 500 pixels in width, or 120 pixels in height;
-Does not exceed 75kb in size;

Ensure that your avatar:
-Is not more than 80 pixels in width, or 80 pixels in height;
-Does not exceed 10kb in size;
-Does not impersonate any halomods usergroups or ranks.
Sig Forums:
Ensure that your signature:
-Remains a reasonable size;
-Does not contain excessively large images or annoying animations;
-Follows all the rules applying to posts themselves.

Ensure that your avatar:
-Is not more than 90 pixels in width, or 90 pixels in height;
-Does not exceed 6kb in size;
-Does not contain annoying animations.
Quite different! I've already talked about this with Exile, but I felt like bringing it up again. I'd suggest that the staff find a good combination of each (if you went with the normal rules, all the staff avatars break the rules, but if you go by the sig rules, then the 500x120 rule doesn't apply =P)

On the files forum, mods and admins have avatars, while normal users don't have any. Wouldn't you think that would be even more of a problem than a 10px difference here that you can barely notice? We're staff.

Until this is cleared up, use these rules:

Avatars: 80x80, 10KB

Sigs: 500x120, 75KB

Animations are allowed unless they are annoying. A great example of an annoying sig is Cuda's :)

What I said is true wes, don't try to bend the rules.

EDIT: Actually, I think what wes is trying to say is that I can use this really cool avatar I just made:

Don't worry, we all know that your not stupid enough to dp purposely :P But I suppose that would be actually quite an entertaining set of images to loop through when on shrooms or acid...

Anyway, this can be locked for now. A notice will be posted when this is sorted out.
