[Minor Suggestion] Moderator test

I know this will piss peple off. Okay, I think if people want to be Moderators, they should take a test. Requirements: Need to be an Elite, need to know a great quanity of internet and tech knowelge, need to be here a long time. Please tell me if this is against site rules.

I'd agree but cut out the "Elite" part. I'd say, Has to be here since at least May '05. and active since then. and they do have a Arbiter Application, which has been closed for some time now. Im fine with the mods. This side isnt that active at all, and with the always looming BEEF!!! and Maca_

Pretty much what Cuda said.
The Admin usually pick the correct users by watching them over time.
The user chosen doesn't need to be told what to do to become a Moderator, or tested (unless they go through the Arbiter phase) they already know what to do/put into play.

Nah, there needs to be no sort of test. Just because someone doesnt post alot doesn't mean they wouldn't be qualified to be a good moderator.

I don't agree with any of those requirements. Internet and tech knowledge? should the moderators have knowledge about the forum rules and modding? Also, if I recall, some moderators aren't even elites.

I think its because he would like it if moderators had a good understanding of modding/map making so they can help out people as well as keep the forums clean running.

Seeing how it IS a Modding site, full understanding of the tools and their functions would be a major plus, but, then again, thats what the Guardians were for.

Not needed as well. It would be nice if someone had modding experience, but that doesn't contribute to their moderating abilities. I'm an idiot when it comes to modding but I still do a good job (Well at least I think so =P) at moderating.

Bring back the guardians on a small scale so the Mods dont have to worry about giving tech support.
