Intolerance
Intolerance
After reading some of the previous posts from the Avatar Sizes thread, I felt I should bring about an issue that I have long had with some forum goers. Many of you seem to hold serious grudges against the two users under the names Malf and Veegie, yet with what I see as unjustified hate.
These two users have been around for an extremely long time, Longer than most of the moderators here. Though they may get a little rowdy sometimes, their contributions to these forums easily outweighs any harmful material they have brought in. It seems many of you have such an intolerance for any deviation from the rules, or even accepted ideas, that you must pounce on anyone, and especially these two, whenever any deviation happens. Some of you are so quick to judge, so quick to hate, that you even attribute various happenings to Malf and Veegie when they could have not possibly been involved in those instances. In relation to the instance where Malf and Veegie were accused of banning an individual, unless you have logs to dispute my claim, it did not happen. I will be happy to defend them on this matter.
If, for whatever reason, any of you reading this thread have not seen the recent positive activity from malf, then my suggestion of future moderatorship stands all the more.
You cannot correlate Malf's activities outside of this forum to any idea that he may perform poorly as a moderator, or even as a basic forum user. In comparison, that would be like challenging my title of Administrator because of things that I have done privately, in my personal life. It is utterly incomprehensible.
If you people cannot learn to take some negative criticism, and even the occasional flame for something you've said, then in my opinion, you should not continue to be a part of these forums. This is life people, and not everything can be censored or dumbed down for you.
I would be glad to hear any complaints, suggestions, and even flames from any who would like to contribute them. Lets see where this thread takes us.

They've done a great deal for my site too...
Liked the topic title Intolerance, somewhat ironic as this is how a lot of people may view Veegie (< look I spelled it correctly!)and Malf at times.
If they are now perhaps feeling somewhat maligned, let me quote something that a highly respected member of Halomods once said....

Indeed. what goes around can unfortunatley come around....Lets hope this post can at least break the circle for a while.

Nice to see you're still alive Aztec, but I really don't think this problem concerns the User forums. Veegie is mostly an avid poster on the Files forums. It's the same case with Malf, even though he's been posting here lately as well. But all his posts are positive. I really don't see much reason for them to be flamed, especially on the User forums. Yes, people may see Veegie as a jerk, but his contributions to both forums (mostly Files) help pay off. I really don't know Malf enough, but he seems legit.

Malf really isn't that bad of a guy. Some of his posts are kinda blunt and that might make people dislike him.
I can't say anything about a moderationship. Because he's more of a files forum guy, I havn't seen much of him around this forum and I wouldn't be able to make a decision just yet. However, I've honestly thought a new select few should become moderators and others dropped (and some promoted mb?)

I think BEEF!!! is right on this one. I didn't really like Malf (that's putting it nicely) a few months ago, though recently I have been changing my mind.
That didn't stop Vinx...BEEF!!! wrote: I can't say anything about a moderationship. Because he's more of a files forum guy, I havn't seen much of him around this forum and I wouldn't be able to make a decision just yet.
Violence is not the answer, it is the question. The answer is yes.

Can someone just remove my avatar altogether? I seriously don't like them very much.
Anyway, I believe people just need to ignore Veegie and Malf if they don't like them. They rarely break rules, yet people seem to think they break one with every post and end up ruining threads because of it. If anything, they should be getting in trouble. I look at many, if not most of their (Veegie/Malf) posts when I browse the forums from time to time, and I've confirmed this in most cases.
