You can clearly see that the background is just a still image from the ODST trailers. The colors are incorrect. The offsets to the lower left of the screen do not use proper Hexadecimal values. Characters like I,N, and H are not hexadecimal values. The transition between the menus are incorrect. They simply fade when they are meant to slide off of the screen.

Well, the first thing that's wrong with your analysis is that the video is a series of photos. It is not filmed, it is a group of images, the fading is a video transition. He is not attempting to use that transition to make it appear as though it is a film. This is obvious because of the change in angle and position of the camera. He's not trying to make you think that the video is a film of the menu, because it isn't. Your talk about the menu transitions is moot. It's not "footage" at all, nor did he present it as such.

To make my position more clear:
Yes, it is fake. However, it is not fake because of a main reason you listed, it's fake for the simple fact that is has a lot of flaws and the sorts of things that would be utterly unnecessary in such a beta. Also, the person is some 17 year old kid that runs some obscure French Halo site. He's not going to be in a position to obtain such a thing in a way that he somehow is the only person to do so.

I found a lot of leaked Halo 2 information and screencaptures from a French site (maybe it's the same kid?) back before Halo 2 was released. Also, remember the French leak of Halo 2 (lol)? Honestly though, does it make a difference whether you see the main menu now or if you see it later? It doesn't help to over-analyze three pictures like that, unless you're a lawyer trying to find somebody to sue.

So those photo's are fake too? Cuz if so, they are a job well done lol.

The backgrounds are capped straight from the trailer. After that, it's just boxes and picking the right font for the text. It's all fairly simple.

The Bungie logo is also off. Looks like a different font to me.

There is also lacking spaces after some of the punctuations.

The picture just shows the 64x64 con image being edited using this as a base. The video shows the same things I stated in the first post. The offsets in the lower left corner rotate between 4 sets of numbers. The clouds in the background loop. The bungie intro, etc etc.
