I've just realized something. The map pack names!

Heroic) The "Hard" difficulty in Campain

Legendary) The "Expert" difficulty in Campaign

Mythic) The unofficial difficulty that means to "Play Legendary with every skull on"

Sinse it uses difficulties to make map pack names, it got me wondering. The next map pack (Citadel, Heretic, Longshore), What will be the name? Mythic was the hardest difficulty, and there's nothing harder. Just SLASO (Solo Legendary All Skulls On). I realy doubt that bungie will mae a "SLASO Map Pack"

I thought that all the 6 Maps getting released this year were called Mythic? Just released separately, or am I wrong.

That would be stupid if you ask me, but even if that's true, what about the next map pack? what name?

This has been well known and often times nonchalantly talked about on numerous Bungie.net front page stories.
The Halo 3 ODST maps will not have a name.
Mythic is the last map pack.

Or, you could call it "Mythic Map Pack, Part 2" or "ODST Map Pack." Your choice, really.

Its not really another map pack because its only included with ODST.

Its not with every skull on, its with Mythic skull on which makes it the next difficulty. I would think its not a map pack, just extra maps.

I think it'll be called the ODST Map Pack as fall approaches, but it's really just "a multiplayer expansion to be released with Halo 3: ODST."

It is called the "ODST Map Pack".

I thought it came with Halo 3 ODST. Doesn't that technically mean it's not a map pack?

From what I've read, ODST will be an entirely seperate game that has it's own Forge, Theater, and Mutliplayer, and you play all of that as Spartans. I don't know if the game will cross, so that you can play custom games on Assembly with someone who's playing Halo 3, but ODST will have ALL 24 maps that Halo 3 will have.

Not true.

I heard it was 23rd of October.

The only source of a release date is the official Canadian Xbox.com site, which lists September 30th, 2009.
Any other date is pure speculation and has little-to-no supported validity to it, which is just as true for the Sept. 30th date, because there's nothing to support it either.
