It was quite clear if you know what you're looking for. ODSTs are dropping into New Mombasa right as Regret makes its Slipspace jump which destroys the city. Chief has also jumped, as indicated by the "SIERRA 117 LOC UNK" displayed in one of the camera clips. It takes place on Earth, after the Slipspace jump, while Chief is away.

which could be interesting... maybe this is just an experiment to check if we like the new style of gameplay

He has no release date. However, in the video there is a date present in one of the frames, 1/06/09. Is it a release date? Maybe. Random generation of numbers and symbols? Very unlikely.

lol, by experiment i mean sorta like the halo 3 multiplayer beta introduced on crackdown

That wasn't an "experiment" at all. In addition, this is an expansion, not a new game, so it's going to be played within Halo 3's engine, meaning they are very limited with what changes they can make to gameplay. Your assertion is absurd and unfounded.

I'm glad they are making a Halo 3 extension. Halo's current graphics are awesome.

Why? They give you a ton of information, why would you just ignore all of it for an unfounded theory? They didn't put it there to be neglected.

well no, my idea was that it would be a demo of the upcoming game implanted as a halo 3 DLC. but now that i think of it, that's a little far-fetched... no thanks

what i was thinking, is that it would be the campaign extension as DLC, but its only a part of the full game to be created much later. so it supports all evidence presented here, but instead of it JUST being a campaign extension, its to be produced as a full-length game later

After the screen goes black for a while and it begins searching for phrases. One of them shows "Maddie, where are you?" When googled it shows this.

Wholly unrelated in every way.
