Halo 3 Auto Update 1.1

With the release of the first Halo 3 Auto Update, extremely anticipated by many players, there have been many assumptions of what all has been updated.

Bungie has only released an update providing information that the melees have been fixed. They haven't released any list of anything else that's been updated, although it's frequently been said that the Battle Rifle's accuracy has been made more precise. You now do not have to lead your shots as much as well as they register now.

I, myself, haven't been able to tell a difference. So, what all changes do you guys think they've made?
Also, what about the armor? Has anyone seen if it has been unlocked yet or not?

Heh. So that's why I saw two people die in a melee clash several times yesterday. I think the new system will work nicely.

I didnt even relise it updated, my friend started it up, we were all playing split screen and we keep having the melee thing keep happening. I like that they fixed it but i donno about this, I noticed when playing with only 4 people split screen it seemed to be happening waaaaaay to much. I really hope its not happening that much online. Theres no way we were hitting each other at the exact same time. If they just broadened the range so if u both hit each other within a second u both get it, then i hardly consider it fixed. I dont feel like dying every 5 secs from every noob who manages to throw a melee. If I hit you first that should be it you should be dead. Again tho I havent played with it yet online. Anyone have any comments on this?

Its still completely random, even when both people die it just seems even more random.

This update also rendered close range weapons useless as if you have low shields with something like a shotgun, sword, or hammer, you can't rampage through people because all they have to do it hit you can you die with them. Mostly noticeable on the sword and its freaking retarded.

All this update did was noobify the melee system for me even more, I hate this crap.

How dare you have the audacity to assume, or accuse, that the modifications made to the aforementioned melee combat system have, in some way, caused an alteration in the unfavorable direction. Said melee system is now functioning in such a way that the striking is no longer visibly upsetting to the participants, as it will result in an effect in which both players are viewing the same thing, regardless of the latency between said players and the game's host. If you are dissatisfied, as you apparently are, you are welcome to discontinue participation in the game, as you were so dependent on the unbalanced nature of the system in which you are participating. I'm sure Bungie will willingly apologize to you for modifying their game as a result of the public outrage in order to satisfy their constituents and prevent the previous unpredictability of the combat melee system.

That being said, I really don't care. I just rambled using somewhat sophisticated linguistics so as to fit in with the above two posts, because I wanted to be cool. 8)

@Yamagushi: I wasn't making fun of him. I'm just too lazy to type up an argument right now. Simply stating that I disagree.

Also, I believe Aumaan was agreeing with my post (correct if wrong, Aumaan).

I only pick at the melee system as during the beta it worked perfect, then all the sudden we got the full game and its a load of crap.

(This is a view expressed solely by Me, and therefore does not need to be argued with)

Bah what i was lookin for is does anyone know any details on whats up with the melee changes like more specifically what they changed and to what effect this change makes other than the obvious both players dying lol?
