found this recently and decided to share, after throwing the elephant across sandtrap at people for a few hours
anyways heres a step by step.
1. go into forge and place yourself about 20 ft. in front of the driver window of the elephant.
2. create a closed drop pod and manuver it into the cockpit of the elephant until you can see it through the window.
3. once its lodged in just slowly pull up as the monitor and the drop pod (which for some odd reason has a much higher mass than the elephant) will pull the elephant along with it.
heres a pic of me lifting the elephant really high up in the air

I actually didn't know this.
Thanks.
But really, it should've been posted here, if it already hasn't.

ahh well my bad. ive been grounded from my xbox since about September 5th and i finally got it back at Christmas break so i'm a bit behind. although i finally ranked up to lieutenant
i know of a couple other glitches ill just go ahead and ask if they are "old" or not.
1. i found a hidden mongoose on the last levels warthog chase, and you can use the mongoose all the way to the end of the level.
2. i figured out how to push player through barriers by picking them up in forge using a turret.
3. Pushing transport hogs that you can drive over the fence in the pit.
4. getting outside Valhalla.
5. getting outside high ground.
6. Blowing up phantom drop ships in single player. ( more of a trick than a glitch)
7. A odd hole in one of the Last levels BSP's where if you look at it you will see your co-op partners view instead of your own and if both of you are looking at it... well lets just say its fubar.

6 isn't a glitch or a trick. It's just part of the game.
The rest are known and documented.

bah looks like i don't get any discovery credits since i got in so late...
and btw i consider 6 a trick cause its not really something that is explained in the game but something you can do if you can figure it out.

By that logic, killing or destroying anything is also a trick.

no, the game directs you to killing enemy troops and small vehicles but it NEVER directs you to kill drop ships and therefore finding that you can destroy them is a sort of trick.

That logic is terrible. So you're saying shooting an enemy is a trick, because the game doesn't say "HEY, SHOOT THAT ENEMY WITH HOSTILE INTENT SHOOTING AT YOU!" It's an enemy, you shouldn't need the game to direct you to shoot it. It's shooting giant plasma bolts at you. It is firing superheated gas, 5 feet wide, directly at your face. You'd be an idiot to not shoot it.

This discussion is starting to get hilarious. Why would you even think that shooting a phantom is a trick? The game pretty much tells you to shoot at it.

meh whatever i just consider it a trick. i don't really care what you think cause your obviously against me and any thing i say is gonna be "stupid" from your point of view. </thread>

That's a very ignorant thing to say.
However, it is cool that you can tell us what we think. I wish I had the ability to command the opinions of other people.
We're disagreeing because it's illogical and ridiculous, not because of any personal vendetta.

im not saying that, im saying you see this differently than i do.
im not "commanding your opinions" i mean really
and where is this "vendetta" coming from?

You are stating, blatantly, right there, that we/I am against you, regardless of what you say. That claims it has nothing to do with the situation or logic, and is related to a personal vendetta. You're also stating what our/my opinions are. You say we/I believe whatever you think is stupid. Did anyone say that? No. You are telling us/me what our/my opinions are, without ever having been told them.

let me go back. i have a problem explaining things which has gotten me into similar situations in the past.
im going to re-write that post.

You obviously see this differently than i do and no matter what i say about this your not going to agree with me. And yes i see why you think this isn't a trick but i don't agree with it. I admit that.

And btw you have alot more experience at arguing since its pretty much your job so i know i have absolutely no chance of winning this.
I surrender now.

The argument has only continued because you can't accept the simple fact that no matter what you believe, this actually is not a trick.
