ummm, ok? well, anyways, would it be able to read it, do you mean it would just not be able to read it, or would it mess up the CD?

As stated above, it would do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I mean, an error message may come up saying that it couldn't read the disk but other than that ... nothing.

I small 20 sec clip will open in windows media player and say "Please Insert This Disc Into a xbox360 Console" or something along those lines.

No your wrong doorman. [If you place a xbox360 game disk in your pc you will only see a "insert this game into a 360" film clip and only gain access to audio video partitions]. then could somebody just point me in a tutorial around here somewhere, i can't find it anywhere how to get the maps. i googled, searched this place, looked on xbox-scene, i can't find it!

You need to mod ur box... As far as I know its the only way possible.

Or you could buy a kreon drive which is like 60-80 bucks can get it off foundmy.com That or you can do the wxripper method involving hotswapping ...or just ask a friend for them.
